Compare & Book

Every travel need on the site, grouped by category. Each page compares the real providers we track for that category — what they’re actually built for, and where two of them genuinely overlap enough to be worth comparing directly.

Hotels & Accommodation

Booking a place to stay usually means choosing between a handful of overlapping options: a large online travel agency with the widest hotel selection, a loyalty programme tied to a specific hotel group, a vacation-rental marketplace for a house or apartment, or a budget-focused site built around hostels and shared rooms. None of them is the single "best" choice — the right one depends on what you're booking and how much flexibility you need.

Flights

Flight search sites mostly differ in two ways: how many airlines and fare types they actually search (some are noticeably stronger on budget and regional carriers that don't always appear in mainstream search), and what happens after you find a fare — whether you're booked directly with the airline, through a general travel agency, or through a site that bundles in extras like flexible date search or fare-drop alerts.

Car Rental

Almost none of the car rental platforms listed here are the actual company handing you the keys — they're comparison and booking layers that search rates from many local and international rental suppliers at a given airport or city and let you book the one that fits, often with free cancellation built in. That's genuinely useful because rental pricing at the same location can vary a lot supplier to supplier, and a smaller local operator is sometimes cheaper than the international brands, though it can also come with a less convenient pickup counter (off-airport shuttle vs. a desk right at arrivals) or slightly different insurance defaults.

Tours, Attractions & Things to Do

This is the most crowded category on the site, and for good reason — several large platforms all sell overlapping tickets for the same well-known attractions and tours, often at similar prices, which is exactly why the site's comparison pages exist: for a lot of popular experiences, the same tour is bookable through more than one of the providers below, and the offer worth taking can differ by cancellation terms or mobile-ticket support rather than price alone.

Airport & Ground Transfers

Airport transfer platforms exist to solve one specific problem: arriving somewhere unfamiliar, often after a long flight, without having to find a taxi rank, negotiate a fare in a currency you don't have yet, or figure out public transit with luggage. Pre-booking a transfer trades a small amount of planning for a fixed, known price and (usually) a driver waiting with a name sign.

Buses, Trains & Multi-Modal Transport

Ground transport between cities — bus, train, or a mix of both — is usually the cheapest and often the most scenic way to cover regional distances, but it's also the segment where booking is most fragmented: a route might be run by several competing operators, each selling tickets mainly through their own site, in a local language, on a domestic payment method a foreign traveller can't always use.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance policies vary enormously in what they actually cover — trip cancellation and interruption, emergency medical treatment abroad, medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage, and (for some destinations) coverage that satisfies a specific visa requirement are often sold as separate tiers or add-ons rather than one standard package, even from the same provider.

eSIMs & Connectivity

An eSIM lets a compatible phone add a local or regional data plan digitally, without swapping a physical SIM card — useful for avoiding roaming charges or hunting for a local SIM shop on arrival. The providers below mostly compete on the same few things: how many countries and regions they cover, whether a plan is a fixed data allowance or includes voice/SMS, how easy the activation process is, and whether unused data can roll over or top up mid-trip.

Other Travel Tools & Services

Not every useful travel service fits neatly into hotels, flights, or tours — this category groups the practical, single-purpose tools that solve one specific problem on a trip: storing luggage between checkout and a flight, getting into an airport lounge without holding the credit card or airline status that normally grants access, claiming compensation when a flight is delayed or cancelled, or renting a bike to get around a city.
